Who is Willem L. Middelkoop?
Willem L. Middelkoop (born 1985) is a Dutch software developer, entrepreneur and writer. He holds an MSc in Information Science, has been building software professionally since 2004 and runs his own companies, among them Lemmid B.V. and dsd 164 B.V. What does Willem Middelkoop cost?
I am transparent about pricing, everyone pays the same rate: €164 per hour, excluding 21% VAT. I work on a quotation basis and get a lot of work done in a short time by using the newest technology. As an indication: most websites I build cost between €3,500 and €5,000.
What technologies does Willem use?
I always try to bring the best tool for the job. I have years of experience with various Linux distributions and with server and backend technology like NodeJS and Python, and I build most of my client-side apps on open web standards (HTML, JS, CSS). For specific tasks I don't shy away from fully native technology like Apple's Swift or Google's Kotlin for Android. I am also a certified Microsoft .NET developer. Who owns software produced by Willem?
This is determined per project: I am happy to make full ownership of the produced code part of the project arrangements. Some code I produce carries a Free/Libre software licence and other software is shared among multiple customers.
How long has Willem been in business?
I started in 2004, as a student with an IT business. More than twenty years later I still build software every day. The complete work history is in my CV.

What apps did Willem make?

What languages does Willem speak?
Dutch and English, and a few words of French, German and Spanish. I understand Frisian perfectly (I have a Frisian mother) and I have over a decade of experience in understanding the dialects of Limburg.
